Day 8 I left Mt Augustus and headed for Meekatharra. An eventful day in the end! I took the wrong route to Great Northern Hwy as I left Mt Augustus NP and didn't realise for 140km. I decided to press on, however following a second wrong turn spent way too far in my Honda civic on rocky roads and had two punctures, becoming stranded for 3 hours before a young fellow from a mining camp came along and was able to help me do a temporary repair on one tyre. Having left Mt Augustus about 8AM I arrived in Meekathara at about 8PM!
