A damp and overcast day as we left Wellington for Whanganui. We did a detour to see the 'Rivendel' filming site fro LOTR1. We vsited an art gallery in Whanganui and in the evening headed to a private eco-retreat with the forlorn hope of seeing a Kiwi in the wild.
