We decided to escape the high octane tourist pace of Queenstown with a trip out to historic Arrowtown, the gold rush town of the area. We followed this with a short walk around Lake Hayes and returned to Queenstown to the Kiwi Birdlife Park. To finish the day a stroll to the botanical gardens and around the bay area of Queenstown.
