2016_03_19 - Day 11 Invercargill to Te Anau
A local hardware store in Invercargill has a display of vintage cars and motobikes, including 'The Worlds Fastest Indian'. We stopped at a small museum 'Te Hikoi' and were surprised a how well it displayed local Maor and European settler history. Our aim was to get to Te Anau ready for a trip to Doubtful Sound the next day but we also stopped at the pretty 'Gemstone Beach', an now unused suspension bridge (Clifden Suspension Bridge), a grove of very large and old Totara trees and the regenerated Rakatu Wetlands on the way.
