Having setup before dawn for a Partial Solar Eclipse in the afternoon I used Venus as a test of equatorial mount alignment and took this experimental image of Gibbous phased Venus. The image scale is too small and the quality of my normal guide scope used for this, basic, so I was surprised to do this well. Telescope - Orion ShortTube 80 f/5 with Vixen VX 2X Barlow to f/10, Baader BCF modified Canon 70D DSLR field 164' x 96' , Ambient ~9C. EQMOD EQASCOM with Ascom 6 for mount control. Backyard EOS Pro 3.0.3 for Image acquisition. Mount - Skywatcher NEQ6 Pro. Guidescope - none.
