Mars using Perth Observatory Meade 14"
First test of Celestron NexYZ Smartphone Adapter for Telescope afocal photography. Samsung Note4 Android phone on Meade LX200 14" with 33mm 2" William Optics SWAN eyepiece. (The Moon not up to to test with). Capture using Samsung Camera app auto setting - ISO 1000, f/2.2, 1/2 sec, AWB. Lack of manual controls on the standard camera app overexposes the Mars disc. I need a better camera app.
Imaged at Perth Observatory. Testing LX50 10" photographically with The Imaging Source DBK41AU02.AS planetary camera (6x4.5mm) Jupiter in LX50 10" with 1.25" visual back and planetary camera. Rear focus distance uncertain ~30(nosepiece/1.25" back)+~15 (chip recess into camera)=~45mm D=254mm, F=2540mm f/10LX Captured with IC Capture 2.4 ~550 frames Post Processed with Registax 6 to stack best 10% (~55) frames and with Wavelet processing. Further processed with Adobe Photoshop CC 2019
