Venus (bottom) and Jupiter at conjunction in the Park wiith Cinders - 15/03/2012 The third night in a series over three days as Jupiter and Venus closed toward conjunction on 15th March. Overexposed Moon allows the Earthshine to make the young crescent look full, however I wanted to pick up the Pleiades in the centre right. The dome is for the main research instrument at Perth Observatory, a 24" Cassegrain on long term loan from the Lowell observatory. Canon 400D DSLR on tripod with shutter remote and mirror-lockup.
