Overexposed Moon allows the Earthshine to make the young crescent look full, however I wanted to pick up the Pleiades in the centre right. The dome is for the main research instrument at Perth Observatory, a 24" Cassegrain on long term loan from the Lowell observatory. Canon 400D DSLR on tripod with shutter remote and mirror-lockup. Ambient ~20C. Canon EF-S18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 standard lens at 22mm f/4.5, 10 sec and ISO 800. Post processed with Adobe Phtoshop CS5
