Near Full Moon - 17/2/2011 (Processed - PowerMate testing)
First use of a Televue 2X 2" Powermate. Image scale is ~2.25X prime focus based on comparison with prior month's Moon 15/1/11, meaning EFL 1080mm and f/13.5. Post processed by Adobe Photoshop to crop and colour balance.
Note added 1/10/2012 - The Televue Powermate T-Ring adapter is optimised for 55mm backfocus which is room for a T-Adapter to DSLR and nothing else and this gives 2.0X image scale. The addtion of extensions on the camera side, as I did here, increases the image scale, however to the determinent of field flattness.
Telescope - Apogee OrthoStar LOMO 80/480 with Televue 2x 2" Powermate,no filters, Canon 400D DSLR, Ambient ??C not noted. Mount - Skywatcher NEQ6 Pro. Guidescope - Orion ShortTube 80 with Star Shoot Auto Guider.
