The Australian aborigines noted an 'Emu' shape in the dark dust lanes in the Milky Way from the Southern Cross (head) through Scorpius and Sagittarius (body) and ending in Scutum (feet). This image "chops the Emu's feet off", still not having risen far enough.
The Moon having now, I tried the Canon 60D on the Southern Cross and Pointers, including the 'Coalsack Nebula' near the southern cross - also the head of 'The Emu In The Sky'. No bias or darks at ISO 6400, shows noise is still an issue and Tracking and stacking would help for further light gathering.
