Having borrowed a Canon 10-22mm a couple of months prior for an Astrophotography field trip to dark skies, I decided to acquire a similar but faster (f/2.8) lens for this purpse and for travel wide angle. A quick first light test of my newly arrived Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8 at 11mm f/5 under a waxing Gibbous Moon above and my swimming pool lighting below. At f/5 the stars are neat to the corners, but with a little chromatic aberration. Purchased 19/7/2015 from B&H Photo (USA) USD$449 with 77mm Hoya UV Haze NXT HMC Filter USD$53.90 and P&H USD$63.60. Arrived 28/7/2015.
