My first stop on a astrophotography field trip to the Kennedy Range and Mt Augustus National Parks was Carnavon. Despite driving the best part of 1000km this day, I took advantage of clear skies to take a few snaps from the dry riverbed of the Gascoyne at the 9-mile bridge as a road-train passed across.
